Lisa Tritto, MD, FAAP, DABOM

Board Certified in Pediatrics
and Obesity Medicine

Dr. Tritto earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at California State University, East Bay and her Medical Degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine. She completed her Pediatric Residency at Case Western Reserve Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. After practicing general pediatrics for over 20 years she returned to training at the University of Minnesota where she completed a fellowship in Pediatric Obesity Medicine. With her specialized fellowship training and clinical experience, she is among the few experts in her field. Her practice is dedicated exclusively to the treatment of pediatric obesity and its associated comorbidities.

Dr. Tritto integrates evidence-based medical treatments with a patient-centered approach that prioritizes empathy, trust, and open communication. She develops individualized care plans that focus on improving overall health, building sustainable habits, and reducing the risks associated with obesity and related conditions.

Her clinical approach incorporates the latest advancements in pediatric obesity research, including lifestyle counseling, behavioral strategies, and, when appropriate, pharmacologic interventions. A core principle of her practice is creating a supportive, non-judgmental environment where families feel heard and empowered.

Importantly, Dr. Tritto and her team are intentional in how they communicate with patients and families. The focus is on overall health and well-being rather than numbers on the scale. Messaging is tailored to each child’s developmental stage and family context, ensuring that discussions promote body confidence, resilience, and long-term health.

Dr. Tritto takes a comprehensive approach to care by addressing all contributors to pediatric obesity—including medical conditions, medications, nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and mental health. She recognizes that each of these components plays a vital role in a child's overall well-being and collaborates closely with families to identify and support sustainable changes across all aspects of daily life.
